Sweet Summer Sweet Corn

Yesterday, Nathan sent me a picture of a truck load of sweet corn that he had just picked.  The thought of this summer's first taste of fresh corn on the cob made my mouth water.  I went straight to the grocery store after work and let Jentry pick out five ears.  I knew that the corn at Hy-Vee would not be a good as Papa's fresh, sweet corn from Harlan County, but it would suffice.  Together Jentry and I ate all five ears and enjoyed every minute of it. 

I prefer my sweet corn with butter, salt and pepper.  Jentry, on the other hand, favors her corn lightly rolled in Ketchup.  That is right folks, I said Ketchup!
