Mother's Day Lunch

Friday, May 10th, I was invited to a picnic lunch with Jentry in the outdoor classroom at her daycare.  Jentry was very excited, and when I arrived she was impatiently waiting in her classroom.  Most of the other mothers had already arrived and taken their kiddos to eat.  Jentry proudly give me a "tea" themed gift bag with a hand painted tea cup and saucer, a few bags of tea and a note that said, "Mom, you are sweeter than the sugar in my tea".  We had a wonderful lunch outside in the beautiful spring weather.  All was going so well until Jentry realized that I was taking her back to her classroom for nap time.  She immediately began to cry, "I wanna go home."  I tried to explain that I was not going home and that I had to go back to work.  Thankfully, Miss Lauren overheard us in the hallway and quickly came out to take my crying little girl out of my arms and rescue me.  I have to say it did make me feel pretty special that someone would want to be with me so desperately.

This is a photo from the mother's day picnic two years ago.  Oh how my baby has grown!

Maybe next year we will get a photo with Jentry actually looking at the camera!

I feel very blessed to have been given the responsibility of a being a mother.
