Eventful Little Saturday

Saturday, 9/11, was packed with all types of events filled with all types of emotions.

8:00 AM - Paratroopers landed on the Fox Hollow driving range to kick off the 7th annual Hunter Hogan Foundation golf tournament.

We were also able to view the traveling "Wall of Remembrance" display.

9:30 AM - Mason played his first 4 on 4 soccer game of the season. Nao and Rachel Trejo are his coaches this year, so I am sure he will work hard play hard.

11:00 AM - Nathan and Mason headed to Lincoln for Mason's first experience in Memorial Stadium.

Military flyover flight crew of combined forces piloted a KC-135 tanker and three F-16 fighter jets. Mason was fortunate to get his photograph with the pilots after the game.

Nathan purchased Mason a special mini lego kit of Herbie and thought it would occupy him for a good part of a day. It took him approximately 2 hours to build.

12:30 PM - Jentry, Tucker and I toured the Mennonite Heritage Park in Henderson.

Root beer floats!

Tucker was obsessed with the goats and named this lucky one "Gary".

Thank goodness the rest of the weekend was filled with rest, relaxation and of course one last splash in Onnie's pool.

Savoring Summer

The last weekend of August brought the beginning of Husker Football season but we are hanging on to the last beams of that glorious summer sun.

The wind blew down a large tree right over our path to the cove but Papa came to our rescue with his fancy chainsaw.

I love all the four seasons but I am easing the transition from the slower days and Summer warmth to the crisp days of the busier Fall by sunning next to the autumn clematis.
