I Love You, I Love You Not

June, I love you. I love you not. I love you. I love you not.

Mason is loving his first year of swimming lessons and is doing rather well at listening to the instructor.

Shuffling him to the pool in the middle of my workday, not so fun. Three out of the five days postponed to due to weather = complete meltdown of the oh so excited four-year-old.

Watching your babe swing at the park for first time, pure delight.

Explaining to big brother that he can not do an underdog with the babe, not so delightful.

Watching new flowers bloom in my yard brings me much joy.

Keeping everything properly watered in this ridiculously hot weather, not so joyful.

Watching my pumpkin patch come to life brings excitement for the fall season.

Weeding the enormous patch makes me questions my love of fall.

Hosting a garage sale and ridding our house of all our unneeded "stuff" felt so good.

I am still uncertain as to whether or not the garage sale was worth all the effort, however the time spent with family was priceless.

June, I guess I do love you.

Dad's Day 2018

This year we celebrated Father's Day in Clay County with two, super special dads.

Tinkling in the dirt.
I can't think of a more appropriate lesson to learn from your father on father's day.

Meanwhile, my social father was busy flying his kite and dancing the night away in Comstock. I am sure he was making friends with anyone who would listen. Even though I wasn't able to spend the day with him, I am thankful he is able to venture out into the world and enjoy life.

Happy Father's Day to some of the best dads around these parts.

1/2

Happy Half, Tucker Jack!

You are such an easy going baby. You are sleeping well and loving all kinds of baby food. You are constantly chewing on everything and bringing all things to your mouth. You are drinking 4-5 oz of breastmilk and continue to spit up every time you eat. You nuzzle your sweet face into our shoulders when you are excited. Your cry sounds worrisome and your denim blue eyes light up the room. You are sitting on your own for a few seconds and always roll to your left. You love to be carried around facing out so you can see the action. You have only given a few real giggles but you grin as if you will burst. You are constantly moving and getting harder to hold. You weigh 17lbs 9oz and stretch to 26 inches long.

Brave Batter

Thankful for a beautiful June evening in Columbus watching this pretty girl play ball.

She did great. Super thankful she didn't get her mother's athletic skills!

This girl is so brave. She showed up late to her first game with zero experience, no gear, knowing not one single person on the team and the wrong wig for the batting helmet. BUT, she went back for the second game and is having a great time. I am not sure that I would have returned.

Outdoor Livin'

This weekend mother nature supplied the perfect weather for some fabulous outdoor living.
