Introductory to Harvest

Papa John took Tucker for his first ever combine ride with Neal Carpenter last Saturday. Tucker was so excited he was shaking! That is our Tucker, nervously cautious of new things but so anxious to know how it works. Love / Hate relationship with all noisy machines.

Neal said is answer to everything was, "yes".

Soccer Saturdays

Mason is in the middle of his first soccer season and loving it!

His team is really too young to learn complex skills and his coaches are two generous mom's who have little knowledge of the game but want their kids to burn off some steam. It is really more for entertainment than anything, but non the less Mason thinks his league is big time and we are happy to spend our Saturday mornings cheering him on.

This past Saturday he scored 3 goals and seemed to never run out of energy.

Brudders

These two had their very first sleepover last night in Mason's bed. Surprisingly it was much more successful than their parents were anticipating.

They both stayed in bed the entire night! The next morning, Mason even helped Tucker take off his sleep diaper and get to the potty. What a helpful big brudder!

Then he asked how much he was going to get paid for babysitting Tucker all night.

I tell them often, but I hope they know how lucky they are to have each other.

Little Boys and Tree Fort Dreams

What is it about little boys and tree forts?

Tucker and Mason couldn't get enough of this little tree hut at the the Country Pumpkin near Sutton.

Of course they couldn't just share the hut and have fun playing together...

The next day Papa John and Nathan helped Mason start on his very own dream project. A tree fort in the west windbreak at the farm.

Onnie says, "Now we need walls and a roof...plans!"

I have no doubt these boys will be spending many hours in the trees for years to come.
