Lake Football

I just love this time of year. The mental confusion of summer-fall is one that I welcome. We have begun to enjoy the autumn activities all the while savoring the last days of the summer sun. From boating to football, swimsuits to sweatshirts, sandy beaches to tailgates we have been doing it all.

The Husker game was too much excitement for these folks.

My big catch

Oh ya know, just another day at the lake petting baby raccoons.

Jentry was proud of her clay pots in the sand.

Perfect day on the water!

And of course we couldn't be in Harlan county and not checkout Papa Bose's airplane.

"Clear the prop!" We are flying into Fall

Important Things

The first day of 3rd Grade Jentry brought home a book that her classmates had created. With a bit of fear, I flipped through the pages to see if my child had written any embarrassing statements.  Not only was I not humiliated, I was stunned with pride.

My prayer is that she will forever believe that different is important. Different is awesome! And families are a precious gift. You can never have too many people to love on you.

It's Alright

Mason has been working on how to control is emotions and actions at daycare lately.  Yesterday, I received this hilarious message from our wonderful daycare provider, Wendy.
