LIVING in Memory

This year our family spent Memorial Day Weekend with my family in Orleans. My sister and her family hosted all five us in their beautiful home, as my mother was recovering from surgery which removed her kidney.

The days were packed with all kinds of activities, each one special in its own way. I can not think of a better way to remember and honor those that have gone before us than by truly LIVING. And that we did!

Tucker's first dip in a pool.

Ice cream sandwiches at Grandma's.

Tucker found his toes!

Papa showing us his kite stunts.

Chad and Nathan were brave enough to take the four big kiddos kayaking down the Republican.

Tucker learning to eat from a spoon.

Mason and Jentry getting along for the first time ever! :)

Memorial Day ceremony at the Stamford Cemetery.

Grandpa Skinny and Grandma Violet Bose would have loved to have known these faces.

Tucker with Uncle Tuck's (Mervin) stone.

Jentry with Esther's stone as that was her Pioneer name in 4th Grade.

Aunt Sonja telling the kids about Grandpa (Herman) and Grandma (Gardie) Ehrke.

Early morning snuggles.

On the way home, we stopped for supper with Papa and Onnie. Papa had the touch for one tired Tucker.

Finalizing Fourth

Summer is officially here! Jentry finished 4th Grade and celebrated with water games and a slumber party.

I am not sure how much sleep they got, however I know some sweet, summer memories were made.

Four Square Rule

This is an acceptable amount of toilet paper, right? This completely OK, right? This won't cause any major problems, right?
