Lake Tradition

When I asked my family if they were up for year three at Medicine Creek, my niece and nephew said, "Well yeah, it is tradition!"

The weekend getaway never disappoints and this year was the best one yet. The tradition must continue.

Congrats Lydia!

Today we finally got to celebrate Lydia.

Sutton Public held their 2020 High School Graduation this afternoon and we got to have brunch with one of our favorite seniors.

Lydia has been such a blessing to our family especially this summer. She has watched our kids for years, however this June and July she has bravely taken on Mason, the neighbor boy Kale and sometimes even Tucker too.

Lydia lives two blocks away, which is wonderful and she is so good with the boys. She loves to take them fishing at our local pond, has basically taught Mason how to swim at the pool. She spoils them with tasty cooking and even spends her own money to treat them to ice cream.

Lydia plans to study fashion merchandising at Iowa State this fall.

May God bless this young lady! We are sure gonna miss her.

BIG Boys

Some BIG things happened in our house yesterday.

BEFORE:

AFTER:

THE REWARD: A $1 sword from the tooth fairy

And after several days of Tucker crawling out of his crib, he spent his first night in his BIG boy bed. So far, he has remained in the bed and his parents are crossing their fingers that it stays that way.

Had Me A Blast

This summer has been strange and hot. Not much to do other than spend time with family and cool off in in the grand waters of the Republican.

Papa Bose made an impulse purchase and the boys were pumped and ready for a ride.

Nathan and Jentry went 4x4 exploring and found a nice sandy beach on the new ground just east of the river bridge.

They took us back the next morning and we all had fun ratting around in the water.

The kids made clay creations while Tucker swam wild and free in the current.

Saturday afternoon, after naps and one battery charge later, we finally made it onto the lake.

Dear Harlan, thanks for the summer lovin', had me a blast!
