Meet Jetta

On March 4th, Jentry was rear-ended in the school parking lot. No one was hurt and there appeared to be only minor damage to her back bumper and truck.

Unfortunately, the damage was more extensive and expensive to repair than the value of the vehicle so we had to say goodbye to the 2017 VW Passat (Polly) and start shopping for a new car.

Jentry and I did some online searching and found a few options in Omaha. We test drove four vehicles at three different dealerships. In the end we purchased our first pick at Woodhouse Bellevue.

Bob was easy to work with and was  quick to call us back accepting our offer after we walked out of the dealership. ;)

Newsies

Jentry spent countless hours preparing for the school musical this year. She was responsible for all the choreography and it was a significant undertaking. Despite her stress and doubt the show was a huge success.

Following the show they called her back on stage to give her special recognition and I could not have been more proud of her and happy for her success.

Tuck had fun with Governor Roosevelt's accessories.

Mason - 12

Our Mason turned 12 and we had a blast celebrating him.

Papa and Onnie gifted him a Lego Taj Mahal kit and tickets to the Savannah Bananas!

The day started with presents, of course, and then we attended church.

After church his friend, Dalton, came over to hang out and eat lunch with us.

Requested dinner of beef stroganoff topped with a candle.

After dinner, we picked up three more friends and headed to Lincoln for and afternoon of burning energy at Urban Air.

We enjoyed supper at Buffalo Wild Wings and boy did they eat!

Dalton, Kale, Cooper, Mason, Kooper and Tucker

It was a fabulous day celebrating a very special young man. He has grown and matured so much in the past year. I am excited to see what the next year has in store for him.

All Choked Up

Sutton hosted their Honor Society awards night and Jentry surprised me with a heartfelt speech and a Certificate of Membership as an Honorary Member.  I could not be more proud of her and all her accomplishments. She choked up a bit towards the end of the speech which of course choked me up too.

We still have several months together, however we are enjoying the small moments together. Like evening walks while we are still in close proximity. Notice her swim goggles. She must wear them or risk be assassinated by another senior. Ha! Oh to be a high school senior again. I am so excited for her and can't wait to watch her future unroll like a welcome mat.
