Priceless Rifles

Opening Saturday of deer rifle season is kind of a big deal in Harlan County. With lots of public hunting ground surrounding the lake, the county was a hoppin'.

The boys built their very own deer stand next to the cabin.  The one item missing was a rifle.  Mason found a rifle-like stick to use but Tucker needed one too.  This dilemma was quickly resolved when Papa Bose heard their hunting saga. 

To the wood shop they went....

And wallah....two, brand new, custom made, Tuck&Mason, hunting rifles!

Papa even turned out two beautiful twig pots for his girls. He is really turning into quite the arteest!

Another fabulous fall weekend with some priceless sunset views.

Celebrating Sister

For her 41st birthday celebration my sister lined up a fantastic mother/daughters overnight in Omaha.

Oh sister, this celebration was good! 

I am so grateful for Novembers which brought us you. 

You continue to "do the work" and inspire me in new ways everyday.

Do not grow weary for a great harvest is coming!

Special Autumn

Thanks to Papa and Onnie we were able to have our annual pumpkin and gourd harvest at the farm. I think this year's crop had a fantastic variety of color and texture!

I have always loved God's Autumn color pallet, but this year the colors seemed extra special.

Since Halloween fell on a Sunday, we even managed to have a family pumpkin carving party on Halloween day.

Unfortunately our little vampire was not feeling the best and ended up sleeping on couch most of the evening.

Jentry the... well I'm not sure she really had a name but that didn't stop her from having fun with her family in Florida before flying back Halloween morning.
