Pumpkin Harvest 2018

Pumpkin Harvest 2018 was a perfectly sunny fall day. The temperature was in the mid 60s and wind was light. We began the Saturday with french toast and hot chocolate in our pajamas. We cheered on our beloved Huskers through lunch and then headed out to the patch.

Everyone helped pick and haul. It was truly a family affair.

Then everything went from happy, lovely to terrifying.

Jentry wanted me to teach her how to drive a manual. I put on my best brave face and slid into the passenger seat. She did surprising well considering her scrawny leg could barely push the clutch to the floorboard. As usual, she was determined and got little DeeDee rolling in no time. She even practiced backing up and helped deliver the pumpkin harvest.

An Autumn day for the memory books for sure!

And then, because we live in Nebraska, the very next day old man winter came to visit.

The temperature may have dropped 40+ degrees but the fun continued. Snow covered petunias can be quite pretty.
