We got a puppy!
Nathan has always been an animal lover and has had many wonderful pet friends over the years. Since his last farm dog Jackson passed in 2019, he has been looking for just the right situation.
I am not really an animal person, however I do believe that pets can be very purposeful and healing to humans in certain situations. Therefore, I did not completely veto idea of a family pet.
On August 8, 2023, all stars aligned and Nathan brought home Miss Millie. She was born on June 2, 2023, in an unexpected litter of ten, yes ten, puppies! They were born, just outside of Sutton, on the farm of our friends, Mike and Sydney George.
Her dad, Cotton, is half miniature Australian Sheppard and half mutt cattle dog. Her mom, Lady, is a stray mutt that may be part terrier. We expect Millie to be ~45 lbs when full grown, like her parents.
She has the most docile temperament and has truly spoiled us with how easy she has been to care for. We are all completely smitten with Miss Millie!
