A Top Secret Father's Day

This year we celebrated Father's Day a bit early. In fact, we celebrated on Mother's Day.  You see this was all necessary to successfully keep the secret of the century.  I wasn't sure it could be done, but somehow our scheme came together and worked wonderfully.

This year we wanted to surprise Nathan with something really special.  Something he has been wanting. Something he has been saving for. Something that he will use. Something that he greatly deserves. Something that he would never expect from us.

A NEW (well, new to him) GOLF CART!!!!!!!

Jentry helped me shop and keep the secret for several weeks. John helped me get it from Lincoln to Sutton. I whipped up a sign and big red bow and voila our big surprise was ready to roll.

The hard part was deciding when and how to give it to him. Jentry couldn't stand to the keep the secret any longer and came up with a plan. "OK mom, plan to meet Papa and Onnnie at the golf course. We can all sit outside. Then after a few minutes, I will ask Papa if we can take his golf cart for a ride. Then we will get into Nathan's new cart and I can drive it up to the patio. He will be so surprised....It is going to be awesome!"

He was speechless.

He still can not believe that I would spend money on a golf cart.

Happy Father's Day to a incredibly patient man who is very much deserving a big surprise.
