It's Fall Y'all

I love this time of year. For some reason I always feel like fall brings a bit of slow down...a chance for me to take a deep breath and soak in life. Which is really a great thing when your life consists of...

An adorable, travel size Husker fan.

Memorial Stadium with your best friend...and eighty thousand or so other people.

A Van Gogh in the making.

Your baby lovin' on your other baby.

Passing around a precious pigskin.

A very handsome husband.

School pictures...with jackets. Yes, that's right I said with jackets!

Selfies with a blue-eyed stud muffin.

A birthday to celebrate another amazing year of a wonderful man's life.

Milestone moments that melt your heart.

And two pieces of your very own, personal sunshine.

It Had Been Wiggling For A Month

Jentry finally lost her first tooth last Friday. It had been loose since the end of July!  We happened to be at my parents' house when she came running up from the basement. "MOM, MOM....I can feel the bottom of my tooth!" I took one look at the little white tooth hanging by a skin and said, "If you can feel the bottom then get that thing out." Sure enough one little tug and pop...out she came. Jentry squealed and jumped up and down. She was so excited!

Luckily, the Tooth Fairy was aware of Jentry's location at Grandma and Papa's. She even left an envelope and blank note for Jentry to send her a special message.

Jentry claims she didn't see her but apparently the Tooth Fairy came, because the next morning the note and tooth were gone and in their place was a special gold dollar!

One tooth down and 19 to go!
I find it quite ironic that I have one baby losing her teeth while another is attempting to grow his in.

Jentry's Summer Recap

Jentry has had so much fun this summer. She got to spend the entire month of June with her dad, Erica and Pace and then she got to stay home with me the rest of the summer. In the beginning, I was a bit nervous about how well it would work to have her home while I was working, but by the end of the summer I realized that it taught Jenrtry how to entertain herself and be even more independent. It also gave me the opportunity to spend more precious time with my Jentry Bug. Don't get me wrong there were a few insane days of adjustment where I thought August 19th couldn't come fast enough, but in the end we both grew in character. By the last week of summer I thought I would be jumping up and down the day the bus drove her away, but much to my surprise I was sad that she would be gone all day. Jentry really is so much fun and is always surprising me with her creative personality.  My life would be an absolute bore without her!

Father-daughter four wheeler ride

Jentry got to go along with Erica to work one day at the feed lot and was assigned the lucky job of cleaning water tanks.

Erica took this fabulous picture at grandma Patte's cabin on the Platte River where they celebrated her 6th birthday.

She got to spend a few days at Janma's house building fairy houses, tending to her garden and swimming in her private pool.

There were also several days at Grandma Bose's house. I do not even want to know what goes on with those two when I'm not around.

There were so many dress-up days that I lost count. She has such an imagination!

To celebrate the end of summer, Grandma Bose came to spend a day in Aurora.  We checked out the very cool Edgerton Explorit Center, the new aquatic facility, shopping on the square and lunch at Pizza Hut of course.

On Wednesday evenings, she got to spend time with Nathan and Mason while mom went to Bible study. Nathan sent me this picture with the caption, "The Blonde Bean!"

The day before school we had a very special tea party just Jentry and Mommy.

And we took all of her school supplies up to her very own desk.

August 19th arrived and my Big Bad 1st Grader was rarin' and ready to go! She walked herself all the way to the bus stop. I only cried a little. Thank goodness for my other baby or I might have cried all morning.

Oh Jentry, you are so very special to me and have such a beautiful soul. I am so thankful for this wonderful season of memories with you.
