Summer's End

I had ambitious plans for this summer and as usual the end days crept up like a cheap pair of underwear. Wanting to savor every last minute of the season, we frantically packed the last days with enjoyable "summer like" activities.

Sand candles with Gramcracker.

Annual BBQ and Travis Carpenter Softball Tournament with friends. This year the team had more kiddos in the dugout than players on the field! We are definitely doing our part in repopulating the event. Unfortunately, Nathan woke up with a terrible case of tonsillitis and the team did not make it to the championship, however the weather was stunningly cool and the time with dear friends was priceless.

Strolls to the park.

One last pool day with the Hamilton cousins and Papa and Grandma.

Will the real Mase McKenzie please stand up?

And of course a plethora of sweet treats.

School shopping, ya know because our future's so bright.

Sack's lake with Federated friends.

Countrified platform diving at at Papa and Onnies.

I am aware that technically we have several more days of summer and I adore the autumn season but it is always bittersweet to say goodbye to the free-flying days of summer.
