Dance Challenge

Our graceful dancer is wrapping up another year of fabulous performances with Kirby's School of Dance. She continues to challenge herself and the results are evident. Perhaps as her mother I am biased, however many others continue to show their support too.

Lyrical - "Let It Be"

Jazz - "Disco Inferno"

Hip Hop - "Good Vibrations"

I can't wait to see what the next dance year will bring!

Jesus' Essential Paradox

Easter 2023

When we embrace Jesus' essential paradox - that to lose is to gain and to die is to live -we come to God, who gathers up the broken pieces of the world and makes them more complete and beautiful than they were before they broke.   ~ Rachel Srubas

Easter Sunrise
Sometime you just have to take a drive out of town!

After church, John and Jan joined us for a simple yet soul satisficing Easter dinner at our home.

Fine at 9

Let's strike up some fun and roll on over to celebrate Mason's 9th birthday!

Pastime Lanes in Hastings was the perfect venue to celebrate Mason with 7 of his friends and his little bowler brother.

Mason was lucky enough to spend his actual birthday on a class field trip to the Edgerton Explorit Center in Aurora. I sugared up the students with doughnuts and shipped them off on the bus with their unfortunate teacher, Mrs. Johnson.

The Hamilton's came through with a gift that Mason has been wanting for a while. An actual SV Eagles football helmet.

His current career plans are to play in the NFL. He is kind of a big deal in these parts. Highlighted in the newspaper even!

Mason got a bike upgrade and was kind enough to gift his old one to his grateful little bro.

To wrap up the celebrations, we ventured to Grafton for Wednesday wing night with Papa and Onnie.

Mason you are such a special gift to this world and we are honored to celebrate you!

Friendly Grapple

Last weekend, Mason completed his 2nd year of wrestling with a 3rd place award at the Sutton Wrestling Tournament.

He was very proud of his accomplishments, however the social aspect of any activity seems to remain his top priority.

Hey Man, Nice Shot

For the last six weeks Papa John has been taking Mason to the Clay Center Fairgrounds for the 4-H BB Gun and Archery class.

Mason learned a lot, greatly improved his shooting skills and had a blast!

To wrap up the season, family members were invited to a dinner and awards night where we got to see Mason receive his very first 4-H ribbons.

Travel Love

February has been a month packed full of travel and celebrating those that we love.

After years of planning, I got to celebrate turning 40 with an all-inclusive resort vacation in Cancun Mexico. It did not disappoint.

Meanwhile, back in the cold Midwest, Grandma and Papa Bose entertained the boys.

Then, in honor of Love Day...

And of course we celebrated our favorite Valentine Birthday Grandma!

Next up for travel was Jentry and Nathan. On the same day, Jentry flew from Omaha to Phoenix to visit the Stengers.

And Nathan flew from Lincoln to Fort Wayne, Indiana for a BW Fusion conference.  During his connection, he snapped this amazing sunset picture over Chicago.

And back in Nebraska, I was shoveling out of a foot of snow. The boys got a snow day and had a blast tunneling forts in the snow.

Then the boys and I headed to Harlan for the rest of the long, President's Day weekend.

Sunrise from the hot tub!

Anna made us a scrumptious red velvet cake.

To fulfill their Christmas gift, the Hamiltons took Tucker and Mason to the Crown Plaza hotel and waterpark in Kearney. As you can see, zero fun was had.

Then it was my turn to hop on a plane again. I traveled from Lincoln to Salt Lake City for work.

Fresh snow capped mountains!

Now on to wrapping up February and my 30s!
