50 YEARS

My loving parents celebrated 50 years of marriage this past May. That's right, 50 YEARS! And so, per my mother's request, we celebrated with a stressful, anxiety-filled family photo session.

It took some back and forth, sorting through multiple suggestions and opinions but we somehow managed to agree upon a color theme, time and location.

Was it fun? Not so much. Were the two seniors totally over having their pictures taken? Yes. Did my brother-in-law return is cream shirt after the shoot? Perhaps. Did my dad want his Diamond T Truck to be the supermodel. Absolutely.

By the grace of God, the weather cooperated, the location (old tree farm in Orleans) was perfect and the photographer was able to capture some pictures that we will cherish forever.

We all sighed with relief that the event was over and celebrated with cake!

Cheers to 50 YEARS!

Girls Weekend

I can't believe that Jentry and her girlfriends found a weekend to get away before they began their busy senior year.  I am so grateful for each one of them, their friendships and that they allowed me tag along.

Jentry, Kyla, Lincoln and Emma

Our captain, Papa Bose

I have no doubt they will achieve great things in the coming year and I'm excited to have a front row seat.

July

July went fast! Life was busier than I would prefer but it was fun filled.

Jentry and her girlfriends attended the Ian Munsick concert at the Buffalo County Fair.

Millie chilled in the air conditioning.

We lit some fireworks with Papa and Onnie on the 18th of July.

The boys kept Lily on her toes while she attempted to reign in the chaos.

Lots of neighborhood action with the boy gang: Logan, Cole, Jimmy, Mason and Tucker.

Annual weekend at the cabin with the Untersehers.

SENIOR pictures in Lincoln. Sweet Emma came along and we somehow managed the 100 degree heat without any major meltdowns.

Grandma Bose took the boys for a special end of summer outing. Tucker chose the Hastings Children's Museum and a Twisters movie at the IMax theater. Mason went Aurora to check out the Plainsman Museum, Edgerton Explorit Center and JoJo's for gelato.

Rainbow Classic

The boys got to spend an entire day at the Clay County Fairgrounds with Lily's younger sister Molly.

They loved every minute of it and were quickly influenced, by all the 4-H kids, to enter the Rainbow Classic. It is basically an event that allows non-4-H kids a turn at showing another's animal in the ring.

They came home fired up and franticly dug through their closets to find hats, jeans and boots! I mean ya have to look the part, right?

Tucker was up first with Quinn's bucket calf, Rusty.  Rusty wasn't nearly as excited as Tucker but it turned out great thanks to a little help from Molly.

Mason was up next with Keaton's steer, Bob. I was nervous but Mason handled him surprisingly well.
