Music In The Air

Jentry sang in the high school choir and played her alto sax in the high school band.

Mason sang in the K-3rd Christmas music program.

After the show...

Tucker sang in the children's choir during the Christmas program at church.

Santa Came to Town

 

Mason would like a Nintendo and Tucker would like a chainsaw.

70 Years

It is difficult to discern how time and age are perceived.

Today my father turns 70. 

They say 'time flies'... but you're the pilot!

How fortunate am I to have been a part of this pilot's life for 40 of his 70 years.

I recently asked, "if given the chance would you have chosen a different career?" He said he would have, but I cannot image being anything other than a farmer's daughter.

Only a farmer could have tended and grew me to who I am today.

Last Saturday we celebrated with his friends and family. What a gift to have been given these lifelong relationships and friendships with such rich people.

Since his retirement, I have been amazed by the creativity and talent that has emerged from my father. Papa's Workshop continues to produce beautiful works of wood art. He generously crafted a wooden ornament for each of his friends to take home and hang on their Christmas tree.  

Horse Trails and Cow Tales

The Peckerneck Horse Trail has existed on the south side of the Harlan Lake for 20 years, and this Thanksgiving weekend I finally got to hike a section of it with my family. The weather was gorgeous and the views were stunning.

The boys loved the abandoned mine in the shale bank!

We also thoroughly enjoyed hearing Kelsi tell us all about her Rep Valley Highlands business. The babies were so cute and tame!

Baby's Big Boy Bed

At first I was in denial and then I drug my feet, but I finally had to accept the fact that my baby had outgrown his toddler bed. 

We ordered a new full size mattress and dug out the conversion kit we had purchased 5 years ago.

Nathan had to scrounge up some spare boards and cut some support slats but Tucker was more than excited to assist.

This smiley boy could not be more pumped for this milestone moment!

A Flighty Night

October 31st:

I was supposed to be on a flight to Orlando for a work conference.

Instead I was home due to Covid.

So disappointing!

But even so...

I got to be there to capture these shots of my scary Dragon and handsome Maverick taking flight on an unforgettable night of Trick-or-Treating with their dad.
