Muffins with Mom

The 1st Grade class hosted Muffins with Mom and I got to spend a special afternoon with my Baby Boy. Tucker made me a picture book and read it to me.  Then we watched a picture video that Mrs. Schroer and Ms. Schmer made for the entire class. We even had time for a speed round of search and find with all things "mom" related. The class was very proud of their picture backdrop and had fun snappin' pics in front of it.

Thank God I get to be Tucker's mom!

Ortho Day

After eight months of wearing expanders and braces, Mason gets to take a little break from the Orthodontist (Dr. Matt)  until the remainder of his permanent teeth come in.

While they were busy making his retainer, we had lunch at McDonalds and did some shopping at Walmart. It was an exciting day and I so enjoyed the one on one time with my boy. Now I'm taking bets as to how long it will be until the $350 retainer is lost...

Bose Girls Weekend

After four years, we finally planned another Bose girls weekend in Lincoln.  Mom, Kelly and Anna drove to Sutton and joined Jentry and I the rest of the way to the city. We started with a tasty dinner at Shogun's but came back to a nearly flat tire. I stopped to filled it up enough to make it to the VRBO but had to quickly find a 24 hour repair shop. Fortunately, I found Manny in West Lincoln and he got us all fixed up with a spare.

We had so much fun shopping that we forgot to take any pictures of the five of us girls but we enjoyed our time together. Kelly found the cutest little BoHo style VRBO to stay in and mom did take a few photos of the house. We shopped till we dropped and ate out several more times. It was a perfect little getaway.

Eleven

Mason started his birthday celebration a day early with a party in his 5th grade classroom. He requested donuts and Kool-Aid and I was more than happy to deliver the sugar and then head back to my quiet office.

The next morning he woke to streamers, balloons, cards and presents!

After more donuts and lotus drinks at the bakery we loaded up three of his friends and headed to Urban Air in Lincoln. They jumped, bounced, climbed, raced, and flew all over the indoor complex. Then we enjoyed lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings before heading back to Sutton. Those boys can put down some wings!

Kale, Kooper, Mason and Dalton

Mason is into all things social which includes all sports and chatting with friends while online gaming. His passion for life and people is inspiring. I pray that he remains confident yet humble. We are so lucky to have in our family.

Blood Draw

Jentry had to have her first ever blood draw and was dreading the procedure for months.  I jokingly told Nathan that I had better go with her to the clinic because she would likely faint. Well, she indeed fainted!

She was so calm and handling it all so well, then out of no where she fainted. It wasn't long until she came to and then threw up.

The nurse allowed her to lie down in one of the exam rooms for a bit. I somehow convinced her to let them try one more time to get the needed blood sample. Thank the Good Lord the second attempt was successful because I'm not sure I would have ever gotten her to come back.

Needless to say this girl is not applying to nursing school next year!
