Celebrations

Last weekend our family went different directions but we all had fun celebrating!

Nathan, Mason and John headed to Kansas City for the Chiefs vs. Broncos game.  The Chiefs ended up winning with a blocked field goal attempt by the Broncos in the last second. What a game!

Jentry, Tucker and I headed to Orleans to celebrate Kelly and Issac's Birthdays and the grand opening of the new Firehall.

Tucker was quite impressed with Papa's progress on the Diamond T and claims it is his favorite vehicle of Papa's.  So many hours of work since he started in January.

The new firehall is fantastic and provides some much needed space.  The cornhole players were quite serious.

Election Day

November 5, 2024 - Election Day 

Donald Trump wins over Vice President Kamala Harris with 312 electoral votes.

I hope our president elect follows Tucker's advise and focuses on getting the work done!

October

October was such a rich month full of fall festivities. The weather was very enjoyable and the autumn colors were really showing off. 

Tucker, Millie and I took a walk to watch the Harvest Moon rising.

In Stitches

Mason made it one year and one month before requiring his now third set of sutures. This time he fell in the back yard while playing football with his brother.  Of course it was a Sunday so we had to make a trip to the urgent care clinic in Hastings. He tried his best to convince the provider that he did not need stiches, however she assured him it did.  Because of the location on the ever bending knee, the only way for it to heal properly was to stitch it closed.

Papa's Pumpkin Harvest

Last weekend, Papa John invited us to come help with the harvest of his personal pumpkin patch. He grew quite the variety of pumpkins and gourds this year.

The boys had fun pickin' pumpkins and shootin' a few with their BB guns. 

Northern Lights

After putting the boys to bed on a usual Thursday night, Nathan stepped out back and wondered, "What is that red glow?"

He was wise enough to take a quick picture with his iPhone and quickly realized that it was the awe inspiring aurora borealis!

I had never, in my 40+ years, experienced the Northern Lights and it did not disappoint.  All glory to God in the sky!

Fall Sports

With 3 kids involved in 3 different sports, we were a runnin' this fall.  We wore some divots in our bleacher chairs and ate entirely too many concession stand dinners but it was so fun to see their growth and individual accomplishments.
