Bose-O

I feel as if I always write the same thing about our time in Harlan County but it is true and real and oh so good for my soul. I am learning that I require time away from my home to truly relax and enjoy those and that which is around me.

This past weekend was the first time in two months that my mind wasn't swamped with work and my never ceasing to-do list. It was magical!

The tiny village of Stamford, NE somehow produced yet another fabulous year of Pork Days. The parade theme was "Clowning Around" and my sister had the ridiculous idea to have a trailer full of Bose-Os. I am so grateful she is nuts and that my family is even more so...agreeing to be a part of the craziness because we had a blast!

We visited, we walked, we ate, we explored, we snuggled, we played, we cheered, we laughed and we clowned around...literally!

Spoiled Babe

Somehow in the past nine months this sweet boy went from a fragile baby to a little man throwing toys out of the chest like it was his job.

Tucker is finally sleeping well through the night which makes us love him even more. He pulls himself to standing on everything and has no idea how to keep from getting injured. He loves all kinds of fruits and his binki. He can even put his binki back in all by himself. He makes the cutest squinted nose face when he is really excited and his mother can't even.

Oh Tuck Tuck, you are loved by so many and are certainly the spoiled babe.

August

Yet again, I found myself too busy in the month of August and I'm not exactly sure how to resolve this reoccurring issue.

BUT...I refuse to let that keep me from being grateful for all the small moments of wonderful.

OK, not so wonderful but a memory to laugh about as the years go by.

Cart Cruisin'

It was a beautiful August evening for a sunset cruise on the golf course.

Swan Lake

Last Saturday, Nathan surprised us with a trip to the beach! I was not aware of this adorable little lake but it was the perfect way to spend a relaxing afternoon with the boys.
